Director, AlmaLaurea
Professor of social statistics at the University of Bologna until 2012, he conducted several research activities, notably on the long-term analysis of training processes on Higher education.
He joined the UNESCO Headquarters Commission for statistical surveys.
In 1994 he founded the AlmaLaurea Inter-university Consortium, whose model was successively extended to secondary education through AlmaDiploma and AlmaOrièntati.
With the European Union’s contribution, AlmaLaurea is currently engaged in developing further initiatives in Morocco, Tunisia, Armenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro.
Upon invitation of the World Bank, AlmaLaurea has recently been presented in Washington.
