Senior Global Director, Public Sector - International Organizations, Microsoft
Rafael Pérez Colón is responsible for Microsoft's collaboration with official international development agencies, and public sector business development focusing on emerging economies.
During his 35+ years in the Information Technology field, he has worked in various areas and held different positions, namely computing centres/network specialist; MIS director; CIO and consultant for university systems and government agencies; university professor; computer science researcher; journalist on Technology (TV, radio and press); ICT industry entrepreneur; and international corporate executive with the Microsoft Corporation since 1998.
He holds a PhD (ABD) in Computer Science, a master's degree in Knowledge Engineering from Madrid Polytechnic University, and a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
