Minister of Reform of the State, Decentralisation and Civil Service, France
After being City Councillor between 1983 and 1995, Marylise Lebranchu was elected mayor of Morlaix, in Finistère, in June 1995. She spent two years at the head of the commune before being appointed as member of the new government of Lionel Jospin, in 1997.
First, Secretary of State for SMEs, trade, craft and consumer affairs from 1997 to 2000, she then served as Minister of Justice from 2000 to 2002.
She was elected Member of Parliament of the district of Finistère in 1997. She was re-elected for a second a third terms in 2002 and 2007.
She has been Minister of Reform of the State, Decentralisation and Civil Service since 2012.
