Minister of Employment and Professional Training, Morocco
Abdelouahed Souhail was appointed as Minister of Employment and Vocational Training by King Mohammed VI in January 2012.
A university graduate of the Faculty of Law and Economics, he incorporated the Moroccan Foreign Trade Bank (BMCE) in November 1967.
As a member representing the banking community, he participated in the work programme of "the Monitoring Committee of the Development of the Private Sector", which gathers representatives from the public and private sectors and the World Bank.
After the privatisation of the Banque marocaine du commerce extérieur (BMCE) in 1995, he was given the leadership of the national network, where he developed marketing plans for clients, individuals and professionals.In June 1996, he assumed the general direction of the operation.
On 9 February 1998, His Majesty King Hassan II appointed him as CEO of Credit Immobilier et Hotelier (CIH).
